北ボヘミアに生まれる。チェコフィルハーモニー少年少女合唱団のメンバーとしてチェコスロバキアを始め、ヨーロッパ、日本などでコンサート、ツアーに参加。 1980年来日。その後フランスでの留学を経て再来日し、フリーランスで通訳および翻訳の仕事をする。 デザイナーズ・ブランド「ヨーガンレール」に広報担当者として永年勤める。仕事をしながら音楽活動を再開、作曲を手掛け始める。以来、定期的にライブを開くほか、横浜総合国際競技場「キリンカップ」にてチェコ国歌を二度独唱する（1998/2011年）。 写真を学び「チェコのベルベット革命」（1990年）や「My Favorite Things」（2010年）の写真展を開く。 2009年、再びフリーランスとなり、本格的に音楽活動を始める。東日本大震災後、復興支援のため日本国内でチャリティーコンサートを開催するほか、チェコへのチャリティコンサート・ツアーも行い好評を博す。 2013年より、チェコセンター東京支局長となり、日本とチェコの文化交流に努めている。 Eva Miklas was born in Northern Bohemia. As a child, was a member of the Czech Philharmonic Children's Choir, performing in concerts in the former Czechoslovakia as well as Europe and Japan. Arrived in Japan in 1980. In 1984, studied French literature at L'Universite' Paris-Sorbonne. On return to Japan, worked as a freelance interpreter and teacher. Later, had a long career as head of Public Relations at Jurgen Lehl, a Tokyo based fashion design brand. During this time, continued to pursue musical interests, began composing and also held live concerts in various venues in Tokyo. Sang the Czech Republic national anthem at the Kirin Cup Tournament (an annual international association football tournament hosted by Japan) at Nissan Stadium in Yokohama in 1998 and in 2011. Other activities include photography; exhibitions held in Tokyo include "Velvet Revolution" in 1990; "My Favorite Things" in 2010. In 2009, left public relations to resume freelance interpretingand pursue musical career. Currently lives in Japan and performs concerts monthly in Tokyo, as well as organising charity concerts to aid survivors of the Great East Japan Earthquake.
